MONDAY TALKS - June

Date: Monday 8th June

Venue: British Club
Tudor Room
Time: 10am

Price: S$10.00 (CASH ONLY PLEASE)

Topic: Feeding babies and toddlers
Speaker: Karen Wright, qualified dietician at the Kinder Clinic
Feeding babies and toddlers is one of the biggest challenges mums feel they face.

So many questions – when do I stop breastfeeding, is it ok if my toddler only wants a cheese sandwich for every meal for a week, how do I encourage a healthy attitude towards food, why does my toddler throw all the food on the floor, and the little person liked that food yesterday why not today??! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg……

For a mum there is also a lot of conflicting information out there, which makes the whole issue more confusing. So here’s a talk that focuses on what, when and how much to feed your baby and toddler.

We are pleased to welcome Karen Wright, a qualified dietician practicing at the Kinder Clinic to speak for us in June. Karen’s areas of expertise are gastroenterology and paediatrics.

Her talk will help you to:
• trust your toddler in relation to food;
• understand more about the nutritional needs of toddlers;
• understand why your toddler might be eating less than usual;
• avoid mealtimes becoming a battle of wills; and
• take positive steps to ensure mealtimes remain an enjoyable social occasion rather than a time to be dreaded.

If you find yourself in a food battleground remember most toddlers and parents go through the same issues. Come along and learn what the game rules are for parents!

Please register by email subject ‘June Talk’ by Friday 5th June
